Wax and Whimsy

Apr 04, 2007 13:06

I finished up the beeswax last night, and got another twelve gorgeous plugs of clean wax. (And three not-so-gorgeous ones toward the end; they picked up some sediment.) My apparatus got increasingly ingenious the more I used it, so that by the end it was a snap.

Still not sure how I'm supposed to clean all of this up.

Spring is making me whimsical. I want to get a beehive. I want to raise bunnies. Two nights ago at the drug store I bought a pack of radish seeds. When I got home I took it out of the bag and looked at it. Radishes? What, am I pregnant with Rapunzel? I don't even like radishes. Last night I got some peat pots and tonight I'll start some radish seedlings. In two months I will eat them raw, straight from the ground, with bits of Wal-Mart potting soil still clinging to the root hairs. I predict deliciousness.

Got two new scents in a swap: Montresor and Pumpkin Patch #3. They smell great (and unique) in the bottle. I have high hopes for those two.
