Grooming

On Saturday I was getting ready to go out out with the girls. I put on faaaar too much eyeliner, and Tali and I also had little star stickers (from the art shop) on our cheekbones.

Before that we had showers and slattered on the obligatory post shower, keep-skin-nice moisturiser. The big tube of Nivea moisturiser at their place was nearly empty. So how is it that I have like, 3 tubes at home, all of them pretty much full?

I get really excited about grooming, and having all the different creams and potions required to make me feel (and hopefully look) beaudifulll. But no staying power to *actually* use them regularly.

I can shamefully admit to forking out over $80 on a little tub of face cream, which I do use at least twice a week. Hell, I also forked out for the matching nose cream. Yup. Nose. Cream. The woman said something about diminishing pores, no blackheads... A fool and her cash.... We all know the rest. That was over a year ago, and my nose is still, unfortunately, not blackhead free. But now that I've started using those gnarly nose strips.....Don't get me started on the face masks I don't use regularly either.

Then there's the hair stuff. Shampoo, conditioner from the hairdressers. GHD shampoo, to go with the GHD hair iron. And sea spritz. and fly-away prevention cream. (Or is it retaliatory cream??) And moisturising spritz.

Then there's foot cream (and cooling cucumber spray), hand cream, cuticle cream, and scrubs galore.

I buy all the stuff. I could at least use it. This week I'm going to give it a whirl, if only to feel that all that dosh didn't just go to forming the battallion of little bottles and tubs I have everywhere, cluttering my bathroom and room. Heck, it might even be a good look!
