My trip to New Orleans was awesome! Anyone who ever gets an opportunity to go on a mission trip...do it! Your life will be changed forever. I know mine has. The building the fence part wasn't that great, but we did it with smiles on our faces. But the after school program we helped with was awesome. When we arrived Sunday night I thought, "Oh Lord, you are going to have to help me through this." We were in the ghetto, like for real. There was a house, across the road from where we were staying, that had a sign that said "Thou shalt not kill". I'm not even playing. It was pretty scary. But then after that first night it got better and better. The kids we helped were awesome. I have some really sad stories, but also some really funny ones. It was quite different than what I expected, but it was way better. God really used this to be an eye-opening experience for me. I want to do more mission work now though. It's like I have a heart for it. I loved every minute of it. And I miss the kids so bad now. It's my first day back at school from Spring Break, but everything is going grand. I made a B on an American Lit test that I was sure I had failed, and now I am just sitting in the library. I guess I will go and read some poetry by Poe, not my favorite. But I must say I kind of like Annabel Lee. It's a pretty good one. I guess that's all for now.
