(no subject)
belgium brussels is such a beautiful city. except i keep forgetting to speak french, lol. i say entschuldigung instead of pardon, or earlier, for example, when a woman asked if i wanted to go ahead of her in line at the grocery store i said nein, haha. oh well.
it is incredibly difficult to type on this keyboard. it's the exact same setup as the french one. a good chunk of it is ok, but when it comes to all the punctuation, the a, w, m, q, and z i'm screwed. they're all in different spots. oh well; i have the internet and that's the most important part. this guy, whose place i'm staying at, is really nice. i mean, i've never met him but from all he's done so far for me - a complete stranger...pretty cool. i got to his place absolutely fine, no problem. found the shop across the street where he left the key for me and i have his entire apartment to myself. he even left me the password to get onto his computer and instructions to get online. talk about a generous guy, eh? =)
ah, it's almost six and i was just out walking around for five hours. i'm hungry cause i only had a handful of raspberries at 6.30 and a slice of bread at 12.30. so i went to the grocery store. o.m.g. i am in love, haha. i have never in my life seen so many different varieties of cote d'or, and they had callebaut, which is one of my absolute favorite brands of chocolate, and i've never seen that anywhere else. i'm thinking it's only sold in belgium. which is ok cause i'm here now. =P
i'm munching on some studentenfutter and too tired anyhow to go back downstairs and get my food, so i'm just going to keep typing instead. even though it's frustratingly slow. it's already 17.58! took me ten minutes just to write this much, haha.
actually. i think i will stop writing. i'm going to go read lj (but not comment, lol, that would take all night) while i eat and then go out and wander around some more. =D
