Saturday outside Nick's house

I am so nervous...I really hope that Marcus doesn't mind me just showing up, I mean yeah, he told me to come over this Saturday but that was before everything happened at school and, who knows - he might not even want to see me. I thought about just not showing up, because I really don't think I want to see his face if he tells me to just leave. ( Read more... )

*smiles back at her*

I don;t think I've ever not been interested in it. It's a great escape, and when I was little it kept me quiet for hours on end so my parents were all for it.

I don't know, it's like being in a fantasy land, you make up the story then make it appear in front of you.

*smiles back brightly*

*gestures to the painting they were just looking at*

So, tell me the story...*makes her voice dramatic*

Who is the mysterious Marcus Woods?

That one is the Lady Elaine. She was a faeire who was cursed that if she ever looked upon Camelot she would die.

So she used to spin and keep her back to it, seeing it only in a reflection. Then one day she saw a knight coming through the fields of barley and she was so entranced by him that she sprang up and watched him ride all the way to camelot, bringing her curse of doom on her.

It was Lancelot she saw and she went down to the river laid down in a barge set it loose and died as she drifted down the river to land at Camelot.

*grins*

And that's probably more than you ever wanted to know about me and my paintings.

*listens closely to Marcus, smiling*

*shakes her head, laughs slightly*

If I were her? I wouldn't have ever let him ride out of sight in the first place!

*grins impishly at Marcus*

You know, even though you rescued me? Don't expect any dying from an O'Neil!

*laughs*

Nope, no dying from you, you're my warrior queen, not the tragic heroine.

Shall I tell you the story of Bouddicea?

*settles himself more comfortably and realizes she's never taken her hand back with a smile*

*blushes slightly at Marcus's words*

*nods her head*

I'd love to. After all if you're going to paint me, I need to make sure it's as somebody worthy!

*flashes a smile*
