(no subject)
Oh the sewing I got done today.
I took apart the two diapers I'd made earlier to fix mistakes I'd made (wasn't until I played with them a bit that I realized they were mistakes) Got the dust ruffle finished. Finished 2 more diapers, a BUNCH of washable wipes, serged all the microfiber (waaaay absorb-able fabric)that I'm going to use for inserts in the diapers. Sewed 2 more fitted diapers, and added the green silky seam binding to the crib blanket (bought it yesterday), finished the other crib blanket and just have to add the seam binding to that one.
Still need to do a least one more crib sheet, the diaper stacker, and the crib bumper. Plus a bunch more diapers. I'm using old ugly receiving blankets and stained old prefold cloth diapers. (now, finally a USE for those receiving blankets I never used!)
I'm waiting on the hook and loop closures (read: aplix a better softer version of velcro) so I can make the diaper covers. But I ordered some covers, just in case mine leak or something.
I way over did it on the sewing. My back aches a bit from hunching over the sewing machine LOL. But that's it! 2 contractions, so I didn't ACTUALLY overdo it. My sewing and serger machines are just set to low, they need to be higher up so I don't have to hunch over to see what I'm sewing.
I can't wait till the stuff is out of the dryer so I can take pictures!
