The idea came from
acid_town, and I immediately, impulsively, wrote it. It makes little sense, but I swear it gets better.
The story started with a lone bachelor. Despite his good looks and manly battle scars from brawls he had won, he was incredibly lonely. His landlords were quite kind to him, but they dared not approach him due to his violent tendencies. His only friend was the broom he danced with as he contemplated of his single life. He longed for a companion, but was too antisocial and shy to actually do something.
Then, a young girl moved in. She was adopted, somewhat, by the landlords. She was inquisitive and incredibly pretty, still young and curious about life. He saw her as a hindrance, however, as she loved to come and ask him questions or pester him with silly things. When food was served every day, she grabbed his portion.
However, day by day he began to see how cute she actually was. He no longer minded her stealing his food, and the pestering, albeit still dealt with the same harsh tone, was not really as unwelcome as it was before. He assumed the position of her guardian, her friend, her older brother.
Months passed, and she turned into a lovely young lady. Their daily quirks still hadn’t changed, except for one part: she wanted a companion, badly. She tried making advances towards him, and yet, he rejected her. For what reasons, it was unknown. Perhaps he saw her as his daughter, perhaps the idea never occurred to him. Nevertheless, she didn’t get what she wanted from him.
But she did get it from a strapping local hunk. This made their landlords click their tongues in disagreement, but she was contented. Our shy bachelor was indifferent. Until, at least, it was revealed that she was pregnant.
Things only spiraled downwards from there. When she gave birth to three lovely babies-a triplet-two girls and a boy, he was deeply unsettled. He started to feel uncomfortable around her and her babies, a feeling he soon realized was due to jealousy. He had always loved her, but he rejected her and now she could no longer be his. He took longer trips out the house, walked further and further every day, and never returned.
He never got to see the triplets growing up. In her teens, the eldest girl was delicate and lovely, ever the smartest and most perceptive. The second girl was plump with round eyes and a snarky, playful behavior. The youngest boy was soft and clingy, loving attention more than his sisters does. He never got to see them like this, having left them while they were mere toddlers.
He never got to see the object his unrequited love getting her second pregnancy either. She was cranky and angry at her children constantly, hissing and throwing a fit whenever they were nearby. Instead, she chose to stick with her confused landlords.
Had the lone bachelor saw her like this, he would probably regret ever taking her under his proverbial wing.

This story is real, with only embellished minor details. The lone bachelor is now missing, the three teenagers afraid of their mother, and the mother pregnant, going into labor anytime now. She would spawn more baby kitties to continue the drama of the pet cat lineage in my home.
