the thorn bird

there is a bird called the thorn bird
the thorn bird never makes a sound, but spends its life looking for a thorn tree
and when it eventually finds a thorn tree

it sings.

and singing, impales itself on the longest, sharpest thorn.

but it overcomes its pain, to outsing the nightingale, and the lark

and sing so beautifully that the whole world stills to listen

and God smiles.

i heard this story for the second time today, and i just wanted to share it with you all, and to see what you think.
