The impossible astronaut

Okay there's been a lot of speculation that River is Amy or Amy's child or something like that but those theory's hurt my head as much as Rory remembering Plastic!Rory's memories so... onward.

+ a big thing in this new series with Moff has been time can change. So somehow the Doctor knows he's going to be killed. He recruits the Ponds, River and Canton Everett Delaware III. He drops enough hints about Space and 1969 that after he's killed his companions know where to go. There's a bit of a paradox here if we consider that the Future Doctor only knew these things because his younger self found out from Amy or someone. But those happen all over, look at Blink...

+ Ignoring the Paradox that's formed here. Moving on. We've got the Silence creatures, which are terrifying... and interesting how you forget them the moment you look away.

+ Amy isn't pregnant. Until it actually happens I'm going to say no she's not. She only felt ill after seeing the Silence things, as did River. She remembers that she has something important to tell the Doctor and that that something is why she is sick. So I think her brain is filling in the gaps, didn't the fish things in Venice do something similar?

+ We've already seen River's worse day and it does kill her. Oh River, I hated you back them but I really like you now. However; her timeline confuses me and gives me headaches. The last time we saw River was Big Bang, in her timeline those events take place before Weeping Angels. So is this River before Big Bang? Since its been established that we're going backward through her timeline I think so but she seemed to know Amy and Rory and the events of the Big Bang so... idk. ETA: In the Time of Angles she was helping them to earn her pardon, so we can assume she's released from prison after this episode. She's shown she can escape but let's assume after the weeping angles incident she is out of jail. Still hard to tell if this River is before or after the events of the finale. I'm trying to remember if she eluded to anything in those episodes to anything that might occur in series six... I'll have to go back and watch them I guess. ETA2: having watched the end of the big bang and River telling the Doctor that he'll find out very soon who she is and that's when everything changes makes me think this River has all ready lived through the events of series six. It does make me wonder when she meets Amy and Rory for the first time, because she always seems to know them. All though, perhaps she just doesn't comment on companions, assuming she though 10 was a version who knew her and that River from the Library would have met Amy all ready and didn't ask about her... its probably save to assume that she doesn't mention anything so has not to effect his time stream.

my brain hurts

+ so considering the episode ended with amy shooting the girl in an effort to save the doctor I'm thinking this is how he finds out about his death.
