I remember quite a few people wanted to learn how to talk to plants, and I think I've finally figured out a way to do it...I think...I can't really try it out since I can already hear them..

If anyone wants to learn, I'd like to try and teach it. I think it would be really helpful for people that are new at taking care of plants...

[Now Kohaku has ( Read more... )

I'd be willing to try it out--can't be more frustrating than figuring out how these wings work.

Oh, I can help with that too if you like!

If you don't need any--what would you call it, magical training, I guess? Then I'd like that.

If you want to fly, there's some magic needed if you're human, but if you just want to learn how to control them, I can do that.

Oh, I want to fly. [There's something nakedly covetous about the way she says it, like the response flew out of her mouth before she actually thought about her answer. Her followup sounds slightly less guileless.] Well, hover. Doesn't sound like you can do a lot of real flying with these things.

It's hard to do much with them without magic if you weigh too much. [This is said very innocently. Mostly because she weighs less than fifteen pounds..]

[Oh, to be absurdly underweight instead of merely incredibly slender! Kay's petite, but she's not that petite. Her response is fairly dry.] I think I'll have to be satisfied with hovering, then. Anything where my feet end up off the ground counts as a success, though.

[Well it helps when all you can eat is milk and honey.] I can help with that then.

Great! So--should I meet you somewhere, or...?

Whatever you want to do.

You'd know better'n me what's necessary. But if you want to come over some night this week, we could make an even trade. Dinner for hovering lessons.

Well just any open place is fine, but a night might not be the best and...I wouldn't be able to take that offer.

Oh--I'm sorry, do you keep kosher? I'll find some other way to return the favour, then. And I'm free most any afternoon, if you are.

No, that's not it. I can only just eat milk and honey. But you don't really have to, I'm happy just to teach! And I'm free most of any day, really.

Well, name the day, and we can see how it goes.
