I'm almost done with this semester!! I have a Sociology paper due tomorrow...haven't even started yet. It's only 5 pages though. And Tuesday I have my "integrated model of personality" due and I have my final in that class...So I'm getting there...
I should have A's in my classes...not sure about Spanish though. I bombed my oral interview. I'm such a moron when it comes to speaking spanish. Good thing that was worth much of our grade. I don't know how I'm going to do my project for Psyc either...but I guess I'll figure it out....
Let's see...Thanksgiving break we drove to New York. His friend Mike came with us so he could be dropped off in Philly. It was a looong drive. Traffic in NY was horrible. We stayed with his fam, even though he didn't want to. That was...interesting. His step-dad likes to drink...and he likes to talk. Put the 2 together and it makes for uncomfortable conversation...for me at least. I was told that me and John's first child should be a girl...after that I needed a drink. But...he is always like that when he drinks. And he always drinks. lol Yeah...so he tells me that his house is my house and I should be comfortable and not shy and to make me comfortable he talks about marriage and kids. Yeah that will do it. Lucky I didn't meet his parents early in the relationship...I might have ran. lol :P
We saw the last part of the Macy's parade, which was cool. We didn't do much else...After a couple days, we drove to Connecticut cuz he still had some of his things at his friends house that he needed to bring back here. And when I say "some" I mean enough to pack the entire SUV we rented. Going back to CT reminded me of how much I hated it...I mean when I was there, I was there b/c of John and it was alright, but I don't like the place at all. East Hartford is a dump. And the rest of it didn't impress me either...ugly, not much to do, boring...I never want to have to stay in that state again.
The ESL students just had there award ceremony/party today. I couldn't stay the whole time, but it was cool...said goodbye to some of my favorite students. Not goodbye forever though. ;) I told Linda I want to do conversation groups next semester, so I hope that I will be able to. :) Last month John and I went to one of the student's, Bernice's, house for dinner. Had a nice ESL dinner with a group of the ladies...Saki, a japenese girl, brought her American boyfriend...who SPEAKS Japenese. I was amazed...You don't see that too often! How awesome is that? And everyone liked John...hehe...it was a good time. I'll probably be hangin out with Saki over the break...she's an awesome girl.
Speaking of awesome women, Tehreem is coming to see me on Tuesday. She's been depressed lately cuz he father is threatening to move the entire fam to Texas, where her older sister is. Meaning she will not finish her schooling her and she & her boyfriend will have an even harder time than they already do. I can't imagine that a long distance relationship that you have to keep from your family would be much fun. :/ Poor girl...
Oh, and I joined Psi Chi...we;ll see how that goes...
I'm about to be outtie...going someplace other than here to do my paper. John and I might go to Starbucks or somethin...Poor baby sprained his ankle the other day & has been very stressed out by finals. :( Anyway...have to go write my paper. peace
