Spike held Carly's hand as they settled Daniel into the bed at the medical center, transferring him over to all their machinery. His son looked very small there in that too-large bed, surrounded by far too much machinery. It gave him flashbacks to Autobot Spike, making him shudder. Daniel watches in awe as the scenes flash by. He and Duskwing travel and fly for what seems like years to the young boy, though time lost its meaning long before Duskwing had come to the dream. Any despair he may have felt prior has long since been forgotten.
But the wind starts to fade. It loses its crispness, but the change is so subtle that Daniel doesn't notice until his vision begins to fade as well. Things are losing its color and detail. His seeker body flickers out and before he can fall, a small chunk of land materializes under his feet. Duskwing's worlds are fading around them faster now, and soon all is gone, save for him and the ghost. //Duskwing!!// he calls, reaching forward. He feels... he's lying on his back now. When did he lie down?
Daniel stirrs on the bed, groaning softly.
It feels like there's a fog over him, layering upon him and getting thicker every moment. His thoughts are getting hazy, and he can't see the seeker anymore. //I think you'd better leave...//
The fog is gone. Everything is... lighter now, and he can hear sounds around him. Clear sounds. Voices. No, wait, one last... was Duskwing still there? He shifts in the bed, barely taking notice of the hands grasped around his own. "I don't want you to get stuck here..." he mumbles. His lips feel strange to him, for some reason.
He doesn't open his eyes just yet. Maybe it will give Duskwing more time to do... something.

And with that, Duskwing's presence seems to fade away.

His eyes flutter open, and he gazes around, not really looking at anything in particular. Finally, he locks onto his dad. He's silent for a moment, but smiles weakly.

Carly leaned forward and ran her hand up and down Daniel's arm comfortingly. "Take it easy, Daniel. You're home how. How do you feel?"

"Cureall! You're safe! Please, come in... He's just starting to wake up... Daniel, Cureall has come to see you," he says softly.

The girl comes over to stand on the other side of the bed. She gently places her hand on his arm and smiles. "Hello, Daniel. This one missed you."

He looks down at her hand, then down the arm she is touching. There's a needle there. He remembered the last time there was a needle in his arm... "No!" Suddenly forgetting where he is, Daniel cries out, his other arm jerking forward and making a grab to tear it out.

"I won't let you get lost like that again."

He starts to cry.

"Shh,shh." Is all she says though, waiting for the Ambassador to say what is needed to comfort his son.

A few thin tears trickle down his cheeks as he holds Daniel tightly, Carly adding her presence as well.

He listens to Spike's heartbeat for a moment, before looking up. "Was it Duskwing who told you where I was?" He smiles. After this whole adventure, he certainly thinks better of Decepticons than he once--
Decepticons!!
"Soundwave! And Cardoom! And the cassettes!" He sputters suddenly, pushing away from Spike. "Are they okay? I didn't see them that night when Duskwing rescued me! Did they make it back?!"

She fusses with his hair and check to make sure his IV still working. Anything to look busy.
"Your father can answer about Duskwing better than this one."
