Winter's Kiss

Nov 12, 2007 22:42

A chill had crept over the lands, a bitterness that seeped into every pore leaving one to feel the sorrow of the earth, her lament at the passing of summer to winter. The very air one breathed seemed oddly heavy as the dying rays of summers warmth faded all too eagerly into winters grasp. The Lady of the Grove felt the changing of the guard, whether the winds accepted their fate or not, in time all would be blanketed in a quilt of white, even if the inviting glow of autumn lingered a bit longer that it usually would. Keelia stood sentinel over her pools, watching in silence as the swirling waters foretold the damages of the coming season. There is a danger in seeing that which has not happened, the question always remains, who do you leave to twist in the wind....and who do you save?
