So it's been a hell of a week. I got into a fight with my sister on Sunday and she's still not speaking to me....trust me thats a blessing! Now I don't have to hear about her "heart condition" or her other multiple health issues and that may sound cold hearted but if you knew her you'd think the same thing!!
My daughter has learning disabilities and her IEP (Individualized Education Profile...program...some "p" word) was today and it was basically more of the same BS they tell me every year. Her reading is her strong suit but her number sense is probably the worst her Special Education teacher has ever seen...his words not mine. The family doc says that she's pretty sure our daughter has ADD....not the hyper part just the attention problem and wants us to consider putting her on Strattera. I've always said it seems easier to put your kid on a pill then deal with them....but now I'm wondering if it wouldn't be the best thing for her. She's struggling in school and sinking fast....I worry if we don't so something soon it will be too late...
