Jaded Reality
As time goes forever on,
Life begins and then it's gone.
With each passing moment, my hope does fade,
From a brilliant green,
To the bleakest jade.
Humanity is lost,
And for what the cost?
In the pursuit of power and greed,
People forsake their moral creed.
As man approaches his final hour,
The world grows oh so sour.

Jaded Reality Revisited
I Love You
Through good times and bad,
I'll be here so don't be sad.
When life gets rough,
I'll be there to make you tough.
When times begin to get hard,
You can play me as your trump card.
If no one else is there and you feel like you have zero,
I'll be there to be your very own superhero.
Draw your strength from me,
For I shall always stand beside thee.
No matter what the cost,
I'll be here to help you when you're lost,
To find your way,
And make it through everyday.
I will never leave this is true,
And this is all because I love you.

Nice Guys Finish Last
Why is it that in this world today,
The bad guys always have their way?
Why is it that in this land,
The bad guys live their lives grand?
Why is it no matter how hard we try,
The memories of our efforts seem to die?
Because nice guys finish last.
When you need someone to help you,
What do you do?
Call a nice guy who would sacrifice his time for you.
When you look for someone to love you,
What do you do?
Ask the nice guy to help find someone for you.
And when the nice guy goes out to find someone,
You joke and laugh and poke fun.
For the nice guy is only there to help and not love when all is done,
Because nice guys finish last.

Ardent Prevalence
Like a delicate rose in the midst of a valley of sand,
Like a single ray of sunshine illuminating the dark land.
Surely there must be a cost,
For without you too much has heaven lost.
You possess a kindred spirit so pure,
That it will often allure,
The heavens to cry,
A torrential downpour so great as if someone had torn open the sky.
No matter what gets in our way,
I will always be able to say,
That I love you.
You are a piece of heaven,
Your presence puts me on cloud eleven.
If we are ever confronted by Hell,
Our feelings do not break instead they swell.
My dear our love will never perish,
It will grow stronger for us to cherish.
You are just too good to be true,
I can't stop thinking about you,
Because no matter what gets in our way,
I will always be able to say,
That I love you Kim.

Sonnet #1- Timeless Love
Day in and day out I wandered,
Searching and searching to no avail,
Would fate be so kind as to lead me? On this I pondered;
And with no sign, clear it seemed that I would fail.
The seventeenth of July, two thousand and four;
There has never been a night so sublime,
Every moment passed I yearned for more,
For each day spent, to eternity our love doth climb.
With father time as our minister,
Our everlasting love he shall canonize,
And ‘twill survive as legend against all forces sinister,
Heroes we shall become to those young in love, and unto our love their hearts do immortalize.
Together, the rest of our lives we shall spend,
But our love will live on even as time comes to an end.
