brain wrinkles entry #2

Ok, so, I technically learned this on Saturday and not today.  BUT, it is an awesome fact that will better the life of anyone who reads it:

If you own land in Scotland, you are legally a Lord or a Lady.  You can officially change your birth certificate, driver's license and credit cards to include this title (i.e. Lord John Smith or Lady Mary Bruninga).  You can even pass down this property to your heirs in your will.  AND there is a website where you can buy a piece of land in Scotland, as small as one square foot, to obtain this title!

I found out about this from Dan Larson, who bought Jeff, Rob and himself each a square foot of land for Jeff's birthday.  That's right, they are lords now.  Watch out, peasants.
So, if you don't want to bow down to the powers of Jeff, Dan and Rob, you best buy some Scottish soil.

until tomorrow,
Mary
