My education has been on hiatus this week as I've been holed up in 12 Grimmauld trying t'console Regulus about the dreary nature of his existence. I believe the pedicures went a long way in cheering him up, as did our excursion to th'attic to see if Lavinia ever found her way home. Her web was shabby behind th'trunks and full of mice and roaches and all manner of nasties, including something that looked like a human bone. Looks like she's moved out for good. Just like me.
Tomorrow I'll bid farewell to Auntie and Regulus and will continue traveling with m'teacher. He has been busy in Devon this last week, meeting with some doddering, dribbling, ancient Alchemist. Wants to buy some magic stone off him or somesuch. I do hope He was successful in His endeavour. It does so hurt me t'see Him put out. It's like a cold, hard knot of pain in the centre of my chest, setting my left arm throbbing like the ghost of its former self. Lonely, it is.
But never mind that cos soon I'll be with Him and first thing first we're off to see Severus. Severus, you did receive my Owl about th'meeting place, I hope? Do not take offence. The One who I speak of is careful of where He is seen and who with, but He is eager to discuss your future. I for one am very pleased that He has taken such an interest in you and your gifts--it was just as I said, is it not?
Following that, I will finally finally see Rodolphus again. There is a great gift that He has for you, love. Only the second of its kind, and its all for you. It will match mine perfectly.
