True Story?

Imagine it is a hot, sunny day. Your windows and major doors are open, and the screens are unlocked.

You lay on the couch to watch some TV, but there isn't anything interesting on so you pick up a book to read instead.

A little while later, you realize you must have fallen asleep, because you are sort of in that half-sleep stage. You're all relaxed, your body isn't really responding because you think you might be drooling, but your hand won't go up.

All of a sudden, you hear a noise.

It sounds like the screen door. You try to get up to check, but you're too asleep.

The door rattles some more.

Still, you can't get up. Is it the MB? He isn't due back for hours. And he didn't announce himself.

You hear the person in the house.

Ok, time to put a stop to this. But you still can't move. Your eyes will only crack open enough to see your legs curled up on the couch. Your hands are pinned between your knees. (How did you even get like that?).

You still hear the intruder. They're coming closer.

You. can't. move.

You are using all of your will to just open your eyes. Your fingers twitch --just a little-- with the effort, but you are frozen.

It's a man in the house. He's touching you.

You are trying to back away, but you can't move and he won't stop. He's got your face in his hands now. He's lifting you just a little.

Frozen, you are trying to call for help.

He is touching your shoulders and stomach.

You scream.

And scream, and scream.

Only, there is no sound coming from you, because you are still completely unable to move.
