HEROES. HEROES. HEROES.

I figured since I have so many questions, so many ideas, and so many bizarre theories (don't worry, I didn't actually write all those down), I'd just do a character-by-character thing. Because it makes it easier for me. Haha. Lazy and proud. I should get a bumper sticker.

Edit: I am such a bad person. I totally left out Isaac. Okay, well, he's there now. :]

Nathan: Nathan gets to go first because he's pretty darn awesome. Also because his family is rapidly filling up with Heroes. Because yes, Nathan's a dad. Boy did I call that one. Well, okay, so did a bazillion other people, but let's just let me bask in my glory for a second okay? ;]

Peter: Ah, Peter. Peter, Peter, Peter. Let's see if we can do a quick recap of Peter's schedule last night.

- Peter is compared to a poodle
- Peter is framed for purse theft
- Peter is told that he must cut himself off from everyone he loves (come to the Dark Side of the Force...)
- Peter sees Simone hugging Isaac
- Peter is thrown off of a building
- Peter nearly explodes
- Peter is knocked unconscious

So, all in all not the best of days for our favorite hospice nurse, eh?

That aside though, I really liked Peter in this episode. I kept thinking he might sort of let Claude have the last word at some point, but he stood up for his family. I was so proud. He is a pretty idealistic guy. He and Claude are quite the study in contrasts.

I said study in contrasts. Extra points for me.

Claude: I was annoyed with Claude all episode, at one point even yelling at him, but he redeemed himself completely by knocking Peter out. Which is not normally the way to redeem yourself in my eyes.

I'm not sure I like Claude as Peter's mentor, because of how cynical he is. Peter could, perhaps, do with a dose of cynicism, but his idealism is part of his charm, right? So let's hope Claude doesn't keep trying to get rid of it.

Oh, and the hair. He insulted the hair too.

And here's something I just thought of: Claude sure had a rapid change of heart about helping Peter. One minute he doesn't believe a word he's saying, and by the end of the episode he's decided he believes it -- Peter is a bomb that's going to go off. And, if we believe what he says throughout this episode, that's his entire motivation for helping Peter. He's helping him because Peter might explode.

Um, okay. If he says so.

Could just be my paranoia but that is an awfully quick turnaround.

Isaac: I'm getting to like Isaac more and more. I wasn't really a fan at first, but he's really proving himself to me. And no, it's not just because he looked really cute last night. He did, but that's not the reason. Really.

Actually, I think it's because he's on board the whole save-the-world thing, and he's willing to drive Simone away by expressing that opinion, even though he says he loves her. He's sticking to his convictions even if it means she thinks he's nuts. And he wants to protect her. Awwww.

Also, I'm not wildly opposed to Isaac/Simone. I'm not sure I ever was, but in any case I'm not now.

Simone: Simone is acting very human lately. To me she seems vaguely selfish, trying to put a lot of Isaac's motives down to their breakup, still liking her, etc. But that's a really human thing to do, and it almost makes me like her more. It's annoying, but I can understand it. And it forces me to actually try to understand her. I like that.

Niki: Niki is stuck in the mirror again. Poor thing. Two steps forward, one step back. Now theoretically Jessica won't hurt Micah, but she might very well hurt DL, even over something as small as poorly made peanut butter sandwiches. So he better watch out.

DL: I'm guessing that instead of returning the ATM money, DL used it to pay Linderman to buy Niki's freedom. Just a guess, but if he wasn't interested in getting her out before, why the sudden interest? Someone probably paid him, right?

Also, creepy bald guy bothers me. A lot. Tragically I don't think we've seen the last of him.

Hiro: Ah, Hiro. I love him. And those waffles, those recurring waffles. Love.

On a different, and less pointless, point, Hiro and Ando are now back in New York, and the painting is shredded. And Hiro still thinks he can't use his powers without his sword. And Ando still believes whatever Hiro says about his powers, which is understandable. At this point Hiro needs someone telling him that he's being ridiculous and that the reason he can't use his powers is all in his head.

Hey, Hiro needs to meet Claude! ;]

Mr. Bennett: Mr. Bennett makes me very angry and very smiley at the same time. Smiley because he is so dedicated to protecting his family, angry because he seems specifically dedicated to protecting Claire, and that's not very good for the rest of his family. Plus, he seems rather misguided to me. I don't think wiping Claire's memory is the way to go to protect her. Obviously at the time he ordered the memory wipe he thought Sylar would never be a threat again, but still. That's kind of messed up.

It seems to me that Mr. Bennett is at the very least a semi-good person, doing bad things. Ba-ad things.

Mohinder: Okay, okay, so we only saw him in the trailer for next week. But he's talking to Sylar? I really, really hope someone bursts in at the last minute to interrupt the talk, preferabbly Peter, because he knows what Sylar looks like and can yell something along the lines of, "Oh my God, that guy eats brains!" And then everyone can hightail it out of there.

And nobody will have to die.

Claire: If you ask me it's time Claire got out of Texas. I liked the scene with her mom actually -- I thought it was pretty well done. So she can take her mom if she wants to. Whatever. But she just needs to leave. Because then there will be room for Mr. Bennett angst, which makes me more sympathetic towards him, plus she'll be with the other heroes. Maybe she can go live with her dad. That would be interesting. ;]

Zack: I loved Zack this episode. He drove her down and then he took away her, what was it, "escape plan"? Very sweet.

My brother thought he was going to die while Claire was in the trailer, since Sylar had escaped, but as it turns out Sylar was bent on making friends with Mr. Muggles, so Zack is safe for another episode.

Sylar: Continues to be creepy. And displays a Pomeranian fetish.

Whoo. Okay. All done. :]
