Found this...somewhere. Not sure where, but I've seen it kicking around, and it seemed like fun. So...reader's and writer's meme, away! ;]
Pretty obvious I suppose. My favorite five stories others have written.
Caged by sinking815. I love it mostly I think because it is a Jate story that does acknowledge Skate, but is still very Jate. :]
Set Alight by ayellowumbrella. A Ron/Hermione oneshot with gorgeous similes and metaphors. I want to write every time I read it, and I never get tired of it. It's the inventiveness of the language I think, and just the insight.
The Substitute by Connecticut Junkie. Eighteen chapters of Lorelai/Luke last updated in 2003. Yes you read that right. It's incomplete, it was updated in 2003, and I haven't read it in six months. And I'm still reccomending it wholeheartedly, because the humor and the in-character feeling of it all will knock your socks off.
Plus who doesn't want to rec Lorelai/Luke that doesn't forget about Rory, or the witty pop culture banter? ;]
The Not Quite Love Letters by Limelight. Hilarious, in-character Han/Leia that includes Luke and the Rogue squadron in consistently side-splitting appearances. Plus the Han/Leia is absolutely adorable.
I re-read this every time I think of it. I'm probably off to do it after this post. ;]
The Dusk Descending by l-hdenson. It's a Newsies ensemble piece that blows my mind with its detail and plot. It's clearly really well thought out, and the minor characters aren't neglected. I don't know exactly what to say about this one. Um. Read it?
I just realized two things:
-- Wow, I could rec a lot more here. :] I should just do this monthly. Or weekly. :P
-- Have I read none of my f-list's stuff? What's my problem? I guess when I got to LJ I never went back into the archives of my f-lists fic. Goodness, I know I friended writers!

Wish. It's Nathan and the Heroes ensemble, written during the winter hiatus of Season 1. My first Heroes fic. :]
a natural progression, or, Four Times Kelly Really Freaks Ryan Out and One Time She Doesn't. Otherwise known as "that fic with the weirdly long title." My first "five times" fic, and I really do like it. It's Ryan/Kelly, from The Office. It was just fun. :]
Okay, So These Don't Have a Title. And No, That Isn't The Title. Thirteen Jate drabbles for, um, 13drabbles. ;] My first fic ever posted on LJ, if we're keeping track. :P Other then that...yay Jate!
The Scientific Notes of Sirius Black. I'll admit, it's mostly humor, but it is Lily/James, with a focus more on the Marauders. Sirius takes notes, in "proper" scientific form, regarding James progress with Lily. James, for once, is not amused.
Necessary Evil. Written for heroes_flashfic. Contemplations regarding Bennett and his possibilities in "String Theory/Five Years Gone," and how he and Matt might have started working together.
Things I realized:
-- Have I really not written any Peter fic?
-- I should really write some serious Lily/James.
Oh, and bestofheroes, a Heroes fanfic awards comm, has the categories for nominations and the FAQ up, so go check that out Heroes people, okay? I know I'm going to be browsing around to find my favorites to nominate. :]

Does it sound like I'm fishing that I did this meme and then reminded everybody about bestofheroes? Oh no! I swear I'm not. I would split the posts up but...if they were on the same day and in different posts, that would probably look even worse. :/
