OKAY. COMMENTS:
The first segment! I love that Sirius is fanboying astrophysics! Because, you know, canonically he's supposed to be all clever and it kills me that 99% of all Sirius fics seem to forget that fact, but Sirius reading about astrophysics and basically reacting like "OMGSQUEE GIANT EXPLOSIONS!" seems like such a perfect way to convey that he is a) really smart, but also b) a complete doofus who really likes it when things blow up. THIS MAKES MY INNER SIRIUS FANGIRL SO VERY HAPPY.
"Did I?" Remus asked.
"Desperately," Sirius said.
Ahahaha, Sirius! I am LOLing over the fact that, in his mind, shoving a friend into the lake is a totally justifiable course of action.
(If, indeed the above did happen, the obvious conclusion would clearly be: Sirius suggested that Remus procure himself a nice, warm, stylish hat; Remus pushed Sirius into the lake.)
HA. That is so very much win. Go, Remus!
And, dungbomb shoe! LOL. Props for creative (and totally gross!) pranking. I love that the possibility of James moping is terrifying enough to rein even Sirius in.
So anyway, here I am reading this cute, funny fic, and then I get to the last segment, and-- ouch! You conveyed so much there with so few words-- Sirius feeling genuinely bad about what happened (but maybe also being kind of defensive about his role in the whole Prank thing), and the whole incident just becoming one of those painful sensitive subjects, and-- just, yeah. This was just super-good. ♥
