A pair of grey eyes looked on as their owner's younger sibling poked at her food. They watched as the girl sighed and continued to prod her eggs with no intention to consume them. The owner of these eyes then came to the conclusion that there must have been something dreadfully wrong with his baby sister.
Score.
A smirk slide over Ed's lips as he reached a hand across the kitchen table. Swiftly, he snatched the girl's fork away and stabbed her breakfast, scooping up a large portion of egg for his own enjoyment.
"Right. What's the matter?" Asked the elder of the two through a full mouth.
Alessandra, finding it difficult not to retaliate over the loss of her meal, took a deep, calming breath before answering. "Nothing, don't worry about it. You don't care anyway.."
Oh, he didn't buy that for a second. Ed let out a short, sarcastic laugh as he leaned over to steal his sister's toast.
"Nahh, nahh. I do!" He assured her, "Tell me."
"Jesus, just take it!" snapped the teen, pushing her plate across the table. Then, with a huff, she slumped down in her chair and folded her arms over her chest. She had no reason to confide in her brother. Frankly, it wasn't any of his business, but for some reason when she glanced up at him, she just felt the words pouring out of her mouth.
"I want to move out. You know, out out. Not like you who comes back every weekend and almost every morning for food. I want to get a flat- maybe even share with one of my mates. It's just" She frowned, eyes falling to the table, "Mum and Dad still treat me like I'll be here forever. I mean, they even have me watching Nina's baby while she's away this week. Ed, I don't know what to do..."
The older brother carefully studied his sister as she spoke, from her troubled tone to the depression in her eyes.
"Wow. That really sucks." He told her, getting up from the table to give Allie a pat on the back, "Thank God I'm not you!"
I knew it! Allie thought with a scowl while kicking herself for even bothering to put her problems on show for her brother. She should've know he'd do something like that. Just when she thought he was absolutely predictable, the young adult turned back to his little sibling from the doorway.
"Talk to them." He suggested, shrugging as he turned away, "That or talk to one of your little friends. Maybe you can hatch a plan, yeah?"
She watched as Ed left the kitchen, shaking her head with complete surprise. While it may have seemed like the smallest bit of help, it was a big deal coming from a brother like Eddy. Allie'd always thought he'd wanted nothing more but to see her hurt. Maybe there was something more to their relationship.
Either way, he had a point...

I think I want to move out...
[Friends Only]
Oh, and I may need some help.. Okay, I do need help. My cousin Nina left me with her baby and I swear.. sleep is going to be impossible this week. Anyone good with children? Honestly, I could use the help even if you weren't. It's not difficult to hold a baby while I try nap, I promise. Okay, so I lied- there's more to the job than that, but it's really not that hard..
I swear..
I'm begging...
Help?
