Geek + Street = Awesome Clothing?

Feb 03, 2010 15:14

Apparently Star Wars and Adidas have gotten together to produce a clothing line. While I'm not the sporty type, the Princess Leia looks pretty fly.

Check out the otherwise basic commercial made epic by a brief appearance from Daft Punk:

Speaking of DP: For some reason I couldn't find the Alive 07 two disk set I got a while back, so I played pirate and dl'ed a new copy. Well it's just a little bit different, but the song list and a majority of the songs are mixed as I remember them. Still, it's really weird. I also wish I could find the first set. It's not like me to just lose a dl I actually paid for. X(

I didn't realize it was a 2 disc set. Was it two different shows or just split onto 2 discs? I downloaded mine from Amazon, so I have no idea what the track listing would have looked like on cd.

The same thing has been happening to me lately. I went looking for a few cd's I wanted to rip to my computer, and they just aren't anywhere. I haven't moved or trashed anything lately. It's really weird.

As for touring, it looks like we'd have to catch a plane to LA or NY as their past tours have only taken them there. Doh!

Let's do NY. It's closer, there are direct flights, and I have a new possible paramour there. lol! Some guy on Plenty of Fish has been chasing me hardcore. It's sweet/funny/creepy. ;P

Agreed. I'd feel more comfortable getting around NY anyway. I've been to LA twice, and I wasn't real impressed. Car rental would be necessary. Urban areas I can do, though. I always enjoy going to DC and using the metro.

They haven't announced dates yet, but there is a world tour rumored for 2010-2011. They are supposedly doing the soundtrack for for Tron, so maybe they will tour for that? Who knows. While I love speculation, there's just not enough to go on with these guys. :P

lol, me and my one track mind; I forgot to comment on your stalker. Be careful with the desperate types, sis. But I know how you love a good game. You can handle your own in the ring. ;) Is he cute??

DP: I didn't hear about Tron, but you know me and my bubble living. Hopefully the concert is at the end of the year. I'd like to make a long weekend of it. Shopping, touring, etc.

Man: He's got his good points. Very nice eyes. I also seem to be attracting a younger crowd. He's 24. XD Right now I'm keeping him at a small distance. It's not that I'm not interested, I just don't know if I'm ready for a LDR. It would involve moving, but going to NYC would be a blast. Goodness knows I'd have plenty to do!

Man: I can't blame you for that. I know as well as you do what an LDR involves, so it's nothing to rush into. He's got time, though, if he's that young. XD Just enjoy his company and see where it goes. :)

DP: There were some leaked dates a few months ago that pegged Sunday August 15 for Yankee Stadium, but you can't ever trust that stuff. *fingers crossed, though*

Exactly. Rushing things won't do either of us any good.

Yeah, I'm not putting stock in that. I hope it's around Sept/Oct. That would be perfect NYC weather.

Ugh, I wonder how much the tickets will be? I want good seats. This is a concert I've been waiting to see for years after all!

I haven't done much searching, but one blog covering the 2007 tour said that NY tickets were 47.50 plus fees, so that's not bad at all. I'd definitely pay more!

Very! I'd happily pay twice that.

Let's make a list of what we want to do while in NYC so we can figure out time off, budget, etc.

Look at us, the happy planners, lol! We're planning for a concert that hasn't been announced yet, and we don't even know when it would be. ^_^

This would be my first reason to ever go to NYC, so I've never really thought about it. I'd be happy to spend a day sightseeing (Statue of Liberty, Times Square, etc). I'm not much on guided tours, though. I usually plan out my own itineraries. I'm sure there's a museum or store I'd like to see, too--like FAO Schwarz.

They've got a Muppet Workshop, so FAO is a must!

The only thing I'd HAVE to see is the Ghostbuster firehouse and perhaps some of the other significant shot locations. Everything else I've seen, so please make the schedule however you want it.

Heh I'd rather over-plan and be able to make changes then scramble when I have nothing lined up.
