KonToki canon rant

Originally posted on my dA page, but some people brought up the question of KonToki or TokiTsuyu pairing, figured I'd post this here as well.

"Tokidoki is a Japanese high school student who, when he fails his history class, is sent to a high-tech history museum that virtually recreates the Edo period to do make-up work. However, what was supposed to be a simple school project becomes much more complicated when he's attacked by two supernatural beings known as "the nue" and "the yakou" and loses the vision in his left eye. After he's saved from the nue by a girl named Kuchiha, he realizes that he's no longer wearing the simulation goggles, and is trapped in the virtual Edo. Meanwhile in the real world, Sensai Corporation, the virtual reality company who made the virtual museum Tokidoki is trapped in, is seen throughout the story." - From Wiki.

So that's the basic story line. Okay. Before Toki fell into the world of Amatsuki, he met Kon, a smart and logical guy, but hot-tempered. The very first time was when Toki was taking history exam, and looked out from the 2nd(?) floor window, he saw Kon. Kon looked back at him, I don't know how he knew, but he did, and smirked. Ding! First hint.

Second time, they were sent to the museum, Toki for the make-up work, Kon to write a report of the museum instead of an apologize letter for injuring some random guys. Toki followed Kon around the museum despite his refusal, and yet Kon still showed him around. Ding! Second! Why? How come a delinquent like Kon suddenly became so nice? He liked the guy, obviously!

Then, Toki was attacked by a monster and dragged into the world of Amatsuki. He was injured, and Kon watched over his sleep.

After that, Kon showed him around the real Edo this time, and gave him a badanna to cover his dyed hair so he wouldn't attract attention, since, well, at that time, no dye exists yet, Toki's light chestnut hair might be quite a sight.

Then Kon told Toki not to worry, because he was there to look out for him. *fanboy*

That was a surprise, wasn't it? How often do you meet a delinquent that says he'd protect you? Skipping some boring talk, here's another hint: Toki's understanding on Kon's burden.

Kon explained briefly about the period, and showed him some harmless Ayakashi. Toki was scared, and hid behind Kon's back!

Toki wanted to play a prank on some samurai to get revenge for Kuchiha and himself, and who did he turn to? Kon, of course! After they'd done, Toki was soaking wet. And guess what Kon did? He gave him his haori.

Then the first fight! Notice how close they are, how intimate the touch, how Kon introduced Toki. Kyaaa~

And then, when the world of Amatsuki 'reset', Kon lost his memories about the world he and Toki came from, and his memories to Toki.

The whole chapter 37 deals with Toki angsting about Kon.
Notice how hurt Toki was after realizing that. He couldn't cry, he weren't capable of any other strong, outburst emotion. Toki was too shocked for that. Then depressed, and seemed scared, if I might say.

See how many hints dropped? Yes, my fellow Amatsuki fans and I've come to the conclusion that Kon and Toki are more than just friends, but not there yet.
Even one of their friends think they'd make a good couple!

And yet, what the most recent chapters reveal? Tokidoki confessed (kinda) of his (kinda) love to  Kuchiha, the girl who imo was more like an older sister figure, always looking out for him.
