Personal update

Things have been a bit rough for me these last couple of months. I've struggled very badly with depression and frustration with my current situation. It's hard going from being a very independent working person to someone who has a hard time just getting up and going in the mornings. Last month I was having to receive daily treatments for an abscess that I still have and it was a very painful procedure. I think I would have been able to have accepted things better if the treatment had at least worked. It didn't though and so the treatments stopped and I was placed on yet more antibiotics. My blood pressure is still really low most of the time. I do daily infusions where I hook myself up to an IV pump and get IV liquids for 4 hours a day and that seems to be the only thing that helps keep my blood pressure above 80/50.

I've been scheduled for yet another surgery for the day before Thanksgiving, November 23rd. The surgeons are not very optimistic though. They are basically waiting to see what they find when they go inside to try to fix the abscess and IF they decide to try to fix it then they will continue with the surgery. They are planning on taking a muscle from my inner thigh and placing it in my pelvic cavity where the abscess is to try and generate new cell growth. People usually are in the hospital for 2-3 days, but both surgeons have already told me they are planning on keeping me 7-10 days. Joy. *that's sarcasm by the way =)* I've had this abscess inside for over a year now and nothing seems to be fixing it. However, this is a common problem for people with my illness and similar.

Our rainy season has started. The leaves are still falling and a lot of the leaves have yet to turn colors. I have a problem with the cold and my joints. I get cold and my body tends to lock up so I spend most of my time bundled up and in front of a heater.
