Ancestors/Christianity

Sep 21, 2008 19:33

We've been talking about the veneration of ancestors and how a lot of ours would be Christian and not approving of our very pagan habits.

Someone said this, which sums up some of the history of Christianity:
"Christianity is all about mixing in other religions in order to
convert others."

There are so many examples of this happening in history, especially in Catholicism, it's not even funny. Such as the Day of the Dead and Saint Brighid.

But we came to the conclusion that a majority of our intermediate ancestors are Christian and not agreeable when it comes to pagan reconstruction. D:

Also, for SH fans i dug up; Fungo's opinions and his documentary. For some reason, he is out for blood with Akira Yamaoka. Have fun.
