More on chatroulette and meeting people in the intarwebz
Okay, so I've given up on chatroulette already. Haha. Aside from seeing a lot of people, a large part of them scary old men or people asking for sex, there's not much to recommend the site.
There was this kid though... who told me he's been left alone in the house for days. That people help him through chatroulette.. what a bunch of bull. LOL.
As I said in my other post though, there are people who -gasp!- actually want to talk to you. As I said in this blog before, who was it who said that you can't find decent people or better yet, friends on the internet?
Take this guy I met for example. He's a good conversationalist, has a nice way with words, great sense of humor. I feel good when I talk to him too. A perfect example of a person you rarely meet in the internet. And it's an astounding surprise that I met him in chatroulette. How awesome is that?
The main point being, even with all the scary people on it, you could probably meet such a person on chatroulette. Maybe it isn't all that bad. Maybe? :D
Wait, my main point is (haha.. I'm like having a lot of main points! XD) this is another proof in my theory that you can actually meet nice people on the internet. It's not all about cybersex or stalkers or trolls or spammers. You just need to learn how to weed them out. Being cynical or judgmental on the internet doesn't help you meet good people, that's what I learned.
So to my flist, to my chat mates, to my fb friends and to all others I met through the world wide web, thank you for being a part of my life. I sure learned a lot from you people: debinding books, bra sizes, where to download manga, how to deal with stuff that really matter in life. THANK YOU.
