The Math God's Wife *

So... I'm married! It feels really weird. So far, being married feels like a bad hangover. Or, more accurately, being married is awesome, I just happen to have a hangover. When we woke up this morning, I turned over to my new husband (!!) and moaned, "Ohhh, I think I drank too much last night--hey, look, matching rings!" He looked back at me and said, "How drunk did we get?"

Okay, it was pretty funny over breakfast. (And, for the record, I only had about 2.5 glasses of wine at dinner, and then two small glasses of champagne late last night. We regularly drink more than that at wine club; I guess we just didn't have enough water to offset the adrenaline/dehydration. Hilariously enough, one of the groomspeople got us a wine-of-the-month club membership as a wedding gift, and another gave us a giant basket of wine. We're not alcoholics, we just play them in real life.)

Anyhow. Married. Yesterday was fantastic; I can't even begin to describe it right now. I'll try to write more about it later--probably once we get some pictures back--but right now I'm exhausted. We don't have the energy to get off the couch right now, yet still need to unpack, do laundry, and then re-pack for our honeymoon. (We leave tomorrow morning for 5 days in the Finger Lakes/New York wine country.)(YES, I KNOW.)

But first, I think I'll go spend some quality time with the Mr.

* This is kind of a joke between petreska and I. The Prof. gets terrific student reviews. Last term, one kid wrote: "Professor F[antastic] is no mere mortal. He is a math god!"

food, marriage, wedding, good times
