Life in High-Def

It's been a while since I've updated, hasn't it? Truth is... Okay, half-truth is, I've been really busy. There's been wedding-ness, and girly-ness, and wine club-ness, and Fourth of July-ness, and more wedding-ness (less than 2 months, ZOMG!). We went to a Phillies game late last month (not a game they won, sadly), we've been out to dinner a few times, been spending a lot of time with friends, that sort of thing...

...and then, maybe two weekends ago, the Professor went and bought us a giant new television ("giant" being relative; it's 47". Hardly the biggest thing on the market, but in our living room, it might as well be a drive-in movie screen). Between the discovery of secret HD channels and the awesomeness that is the Xbox, every moment we're in the apartment has been spent on the couch. Let me just say that whoever brokered the deal between Netflix & Xbox Live deserves a medal, a raise, and a corner office.

While it's fabulous and all, I do feel a little weird getting the TV right as we're in wedding-budget-crisis mode. Also, we still haven't figured out what to do with the old one (which is also ginormous, albeit in an early-90's cell phone sort of way. Seriously, it's 32" and 145lbs. The Prof's back may never be the same). We were thinking of asking about $100-150 for it; I'm almost at the point where I'll give it away free to anyone who can get it out of our apartment.

Anyhow, I think that's enough staring at a screen for one day. I'm going to go take out my contacts and read something on paper until the Prof gets back from his night class. Or until Top Chef comes on.
