My final Berklee scholarship audition is on Monday in HOTlanta, where they playas play. I'm ridiculously nervous/anxious about the audition. I'm playing "Syeeda's Song Flute" by John Coltrane. I've decided the best way to learn the song is to play it OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER... I also have to sight read a bunch of stuff that they give to me before the audition; the past 2 auditions I've had I made it through all of the sight reading perfectly. That's not a worry at all. I have to improvise some basslines and solos over certain styles that they choose. Then, I have call and response where they play something on piano and I play it back to them. That has been my weak point during both of my previous auditions, and I really hope I've improved as much as I think I have. I'm headed down to HOTlanta tommorrow night to chill with my parents...and then my audition is at 10:30 on monday morning...then I might stay in Atlanta for the rest of the day...I might not...I think it would be fun to take 2 college visit days instead of one, and just sleep on tuesday. That would be SO nice. Oh yeah, in 27 days, I turn 18.
