I don't know.. I've always had a weakness for the smart bad boy (yeah, I know, irony), turn good guy, with an edge and Logan just does it for me.... anytime I see him. Hell, I would have a major attitude too if my girlfriend was murdered and I was being abused by my father, just saying. Not an excuse, which he totally overcomes and reforms, but explains his idiotic behavior in the early season.
