andrew's got that hockey fever.
this weekend has been pretty fun. friday...half day at work then hockey. saturday...open shift then chill with friends. sunday...tailgate at the hockey game, then hockey, then chill w/ my older sis. i think ive been to as many games this season than i have in the past 3 seasons combined. in the past 2 weeks, ive been to 3 home games. gotta love friends w/ connections.
it was actually a good way to end the past week. i have a gut feeling that the end of every month is going to be hellish for me. especially if any of my budgets are under, ive gotta definately get my sales up before the next month. in addition to that, i gotta do monthly counts at that time of everything i have out for sale. doing that by myself sucks bad. pretty much, tuesday and wednesday, i was at work for 12 hour shifts trying to get everything ready for the next month. tuesday got pretty long since i got to work at 8am to work until 2pm. then, from 2 til 7pm, finish up on some paper work and start my counts. midway through my counts that night, i pretty much had a breakdown and just couldnt get anything done. it felt at the time that all my work piled up and i couldnt get it off my shoulders. i ended up going home and passing out from exhaustion.
the next day fared a little better. i got enough rest and didnt have to go into work until 2pm. i finished up some small work stuff and started my counts around 7pm. i got a couple of co-workers to help out and made things a lot easier for me. we finished the counts around 11pm. after that, i had to get my payroll done for the end of the pay period. i couldve done that the next day, but i didnt feel like coming in. i finally finished all my work at 1am. yeah. gotta love that.
thursday, my day off. and it felt nice. slept in and did not think of work at all. i went and watched ghost rider w/ dave before he went to work. it wasnt bad and i wasnt expecting much. it couldve been better. cheesy for much of the movie with the cheap effects. i did enjoy the small details with the jelly beans, coffee, and the karen carpenter music. after the movie, i went to ikea to look at a couple pieces of furniture for my room. i ended up getting a chair and small table. spent the rest of my day putting those together.
friday...back to work. got a few things done. hired a new girl to the staff. after work, it was off to the hockey game. i got a Marian Hossa player statue at the game to go along w/ the Kari Lehtonen statue i got the week before. the game was fun, we beat ottawa 4-2. Heatley came back home and scored twice... and twice, he got booed. i didnt boo. he's still my fave.
saturday, open shift. the usual. then chilled w/ roman for the rest of the day.
sunday i got a call in the morning. there was an extra ticket for the game against carolina. i couldnt pass that up. before the game, we went to the tailgate and had a couple beers and some snacks. there were no player statues this time, but it was Mullet day and pretty much everyone got a mullet wig. this game also rocked, we beat carolina 3-1. that night, me and reek got korean bbq. always good.
