yeah, ive been busy for the past week... mainly, its just been me trying to balance my schedule of work and school. usually a full day w/ work in the morning and school at night has just left me pretty tired at the end of the day. and w/ work in the morning, i wouldnt have time to update then. since it is a holiday weekend, i actually had some time to stuff on my blog. anyway... school is school. though, i should re-think my schedule and not workout before my first class at 5.30pm on tues/thurs. i generally tend to doze off to sleep during that lecture. im thinking, i probably should just get a cup of coffee before that class since itll keep me up and its cold in that classroom. the lab for that class isnt too bad, its a small group. not too bad. psych class is pretty cool too. im enjoying it.
work has been pretty cool, i suppose. ill be working mornings pretty much everyday during the week. i do get saturdays off, so it isnt too bad. sundays are my manager shifts. that and some monday nights. i feel like im getting better at this manager thing. hopefully itll go noticed.
since it was labor day weekend, of course, there were parties. my friend had one on friday. wasnt too bad. as usual, i was pretty quiet and kept to myself at the beginning of the party. but as the night went on, i kept meeting new people so it was pretty cool to know them, or get a chance to meet them again. it was the usual "Adrock Party", except it wasnt at the good ol' house. the house was definately the place to have those parties. apartments suck as far as parties are concerned. it didnt take long for the cops to tell us to turn the music down. it was cool though. just talking w/ everyone, watching peeps jump in the pool, seeing one of the guys pass out in the bushes. good times.
saturday was the big GT/ND game. i only like tech because of Calvin Johnson, aka the savior of Sandy Creek HS. but i just dont like Notre Dame. anyway, it was good to see CJ get a touchdown. and of course, leave it to reggie ball to screw up the last play for tech. you would think he'd learn something after playing for the past 3 years. oh well. UGA won their "game", quotes because W.Kentucky isnt much of a team...its like a college team playing a really good JV high school team. then again, ive got nothing against W.Kent. my hometeam, West Virginia got off to a great start. though, its like the aformentioned UGA game; a nationally ranked team vs. a lower tier college team.
it was just a slow slow day at work sunday. the first 2 hours felt like 6 hrs... it was that slow. then again, it wasnt too challenging of a day. most of the members were probably out of town or w/ family. im not gonna complain about that.
i finally saw V for Vendetta. it wasnt too bad. better than i expected. it probably couldve been better, but for what it is, it was good. im still not a Wachowski Bros. fan. they got lucky w/ the first Matrix movie, they sucked badly in Reloaded, Revolutions wasnt great though i still liked that one, and this one was just a step up from revolutions.
