OK, I am sorry but this must be said. I agree, Apple i Pods are one of the most fun mp3 players on the market, Great control and menu options, and the range from ipod shuffle, mini/nano, and the bigger products are fantastic. However, Never before has a company succeeded so well in a single range of products, to prove why they have never made any money. Having recieved an ipod mini for our engagement (something nicole and i have both appreciated {and possibly the best of the presents}) we have experienced a few little glitches. First of which was the screen going blank only 3 weeks after the unit was taken out of the box. Now before you start asking the obvious questions yes we checked the forums, we checked tech support, and even checked that the battery was not flat. The unit worked, but as we discovered there is a common manufactureing flaw that can cause the ipod mini's to have a blank display whilst all other features and functions work. Needless to say, we sent the unit back to apple and had it replaced. Now, only about a month or so after having recieved the replacement units, the software is now giving me glitches.

I dont know how many of you out there in LJ land own ipods, or have experienced issues with them, But having read the forums a few times now, it seems that ultimately apple have just proved themselves to be crap yet again. Dont get me wrong, i still love the ipod and will be getting it replaced again if neccisary, but i do encourage anyone considering buying a higher end mp3 player to read the forums and compare to other brands of mp3 players before buying an ipod.
