Inter Milan have commenced court proceedings against Hajduk Split insisting the club be thrown after fielding an ineligible player.
OMFG YOU ARE KIDDING. HE PLAYED?! HE PLAYED AND I MISSED IT. OMG. WHY. WHY SLAVKO, I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN MACEDONIA!!!!!!!!!
On 28th June we reported that Hajduk had
signed Goran Slavkovski from Inter Milan on a 5 year deal. The Macedonian, dubbed the new Ibrahimovic because of his Swedish roots and similar style of play was thought to be headed to Treviso before the Dalmatian club stepped in at the last minute.
Now it seems that despite featuring in two friendlies and a Uefa Cup game, the deal hasn't been ratified, nor has Slavkovski received confirmation of his contract from the club.
Slavkoski's manager, and in particular Inter Milan, are crying foul, demanding their expulsion from the competition. Hajduk have so far refused to comment.
Meanwhile, new Numancia manager Sergio Kresic has given Hajduk a fighting chance in their second round match up against Deportivo La Coruna.
"Deportivo are not as strong a team as [they were] a few years ago. Last season they had a great many problems."
"They concentrated on a counter-attacking game, insisting on 4-4-2 formation that left them in the danger zone, but when they changed to 3-5-1-1 they climbed up to 9th place"
He was still keen to point out that Deportivo remain favourites, mainly due to changes both on and off the pitch at Hajduk.
"Hajduk has in this season completely changed the way they play, and one cannot drastically change in 1 or 2 months of training."
I knew something was wrong when Inter didn't talk about Slavko when he signed for Hajduk. I hope he doesn't get into a slump or something from this. Or suspended. Like mah Clerc did. MAN, I wonder if there are photos. HE WAS IN TWO FRIENDIES? AND A UEFA CUP QUALIFICATION, YOU ARE KIDDING.
