Music Videos: Disneyfied

May 10, 2007 14:15

Some videos of music that's from current movies, not all of which sucks. It also either comes from Disney movies, or sounds like it could be in one. Safe for work and kids!

High School Musical - When There Was Me And You
Gabriella, female lead who is a person of color, and also shy, sings very sweetly about her feelings being hurt by her new friend.

High School Musical - Stick To The Status Quo
An ensemble song that shows how even people who are stereotyped into their little clicks aren't all the same. Basketball players can and do sing and bake, the skater guy can play the cello, and the smart girl can hip-hop.

Hocus Pocus - I Put A Spell On You
A very funny and interesting look at some wacky witches and the trouble they cause. I love the zombie; he's such a nice guy.

Ice Princess - Reaching For Heaven
Not exactly a great movie, but the song is true: everyone has secrets inside them that they want to share with the right person/people.

Jump In! - Push It To The Limit
Really, how can you not get behind a movie about a jump rope competition, with a mostly black cast, peppy tunes, and people who learn life lessons?

Pixel Perfect - Notice Me
Ah, the trials and tribulations of liking someone who doesn't notice you. But it's real, at least.

Raise Your Voice - Someone's Watching Over Me
A sappy song to lift your spirits. I know it's lifted mine through some bad times.
