Meme: Ten Random Things About Me
Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a blog entry of some kind with ten random facts about yourself. Then, pick ten of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included.
1. Whenever I find a new ‘favorite’ song, I’ll play it over and over again for a few days (on my PC) or listen to it over and over again on my car CD player.
2. I knit. A lot. I’m able to read fanfic, listen to my current favorite song, and knit in between pressing the page down button. I do, however, dislike having to make fringe for scarves or afghans. Especially afghans, because there’s so much of it.
3. Bath & Bodyworks is possibly my most shopped at store. Every time I go in and buy something, they give me a coupon for some sale a few weeks later. So I come back, and buy something, and end up with another coupon. It’s a vicious cycle. :)
4. I have more socks than I know what to do with. I could wear them, but despite the fact that at least half my wardrobe is pink, and so are half my socks, a great deal of the time the shades aren’t the same. Also, whose idea was it to make ankle socks out of that sinfully soft polyester-whatever-fabric that is much too warm to wear in summer, like ankle socks are supposed to be?
5. I have long hair. Like, really long. It’s past my waist right now, and I’m still growing it out.
6. I’ve recently discovered that I can, in fact, manage to paint my nails fairly neatly. So I wear nail polish all the time, now, though since summer has passed, along with my days of wearing sandals, it’s only on my fingernails.
7. For several years I have had a problem reading actual books, as opposed to online fanfiction. For some reason, fanfiction seems better written to me than a lot of the published books I’ve tried - and failed - to read. Wonder why that is?
8. I just got around to finally going to get my first new pair of glasses (nearsighted) in four years. Do you have any idea how few pairs of women’s glasses frames come in simple, unadorned, black? *frustrated sigh*
9. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was eight. I hated them then - I guess because I hated change - but that has long since passed.
10. I’ve just discovered how to sell things on Amazon.com and I’m finally getting rid of some of the books, CDs and videotapes I have lying around.
