Why, yes, thankyou - lovely, wonderful news, and yet another reason to add to my list of Why Washington State is the place to be.
The Australian, February 11th, 2008. Clean sweep fires Obama bid. This one had a truly incredible photograph accompanying it in the paper - but I can't seem to find it online anywhere - of enraptured faces appearing here and there out of swirling Maine mists, hardly discernible until you suddenly realise, like a magic-eye, that it's a crowd of thousands, all staring up at this lone figure in a dramatic black coat standing straight, and proud, on a podium. The lone figure is, of course, Barack Obama. I just wish I had a scanner y'all could see it.
Anyway, I thought this was hilarious - real happy dance stuff. Even darling Kevin's "Peck-ian educated Australian" accent ain't worth a thing compared to Obama's sultry tones. Gotta get me to a bookstore, pronto.
