Here, we mourn for the fallen
While the ash falls down
I decided to write a poem about the nashville shooting. When I saw that on the news, about the shooting...I just broke. You'd think I'd be used to it. How many shootings this year?
There was just something about the brutality of it...the lack of care and the people targeted.
It shook me to my core. And I had to write about it. I wanted to get my voice out there. My thoughts go out to the bereaved families.
Maybe I've been "numb" to it all for too long and I finally woke up?
