BellSouth assures me that I will have phone service again no later than the evening of November 23rd. They also assure me that they will lift the cables that currently prevent me from parking in my driveway by that time. They also seem shocked by the fact that I refuse to pay bills for services not rendered. Somehow, they managed to restore service to 90% of the customers in the area in roughly two and a half weeks, yet it will take two and a half months to complete work on the remaining 10%.
Idiots.
I know. There are people who lost their homes, their jobs, their loved ones, their lives. I know that. I appreciate my good fortune; I am thankful for my comparitively blessed existence. But good gracious, those BellSouth people are still idiots.
