Write or Die!
I wanted to share a writing tool that I've been playing with today. Write or Die is an online resource that, according to the tagline, puts "the 'prod' in productivity".
I've just finished a two hour workout on it (normal setting, evil grace period) and ended up with about 1,700 words that are the opening scene to a multi-chapter story that thraesja has been badgering me to "stop talking about it and just write the damned thing."
850 words an hour isn't a record or anything, and what I wrote those two hours is pretty rough, but as someone who gets distracted by ...anything, really, while trying to write, I'm pretty happy with my 1,700 words.
