After reading this, had to go back and read the Snape/Lily related parts of Deathly Hallows. Loved this! You had me thinking he would actually go through with the love-potion scheme and then at the last minute he couldn't do it. I was grinning. Poor Snape, can't catch a break - Leviocorpus, plus Lily is even more angry at him than before.

This was one of my favorite fics to write ever, so thank you very much for the request! I'm glad you liked it. The idea was definitely inspired by Merope's story in Half-Blood Prince, to think that she was so desperately in love with Tom Riddle that she tricked him like that. Snape's love for Lily seemed almost as obsessive to me, so I could definitely imagine him considering a love potion during the two remaining years at school when he must have felt just awful watching Lily fall away from him and then dating James. But somehow I don't think Snape would be the type to go through with it...

Aw! As your other comments say, you write Snape really well. I really liked that he didn't go through with it in the end, that really seems like him.
