IY 506: Examinee Number 77

Loved this chapter as well. Best cover pic of Shippo ever? I love the serious look on his face. For the first time ever I think I wanna draw Shippo. Also, what a cute chapter title. "Examinee Number 77." Something about that makes me go awww.
When Kagome sat Inuyasha I couldn't help but feel he deserved it just a little bit, heh. Although it was funny seeing him whack all those kitsunes on the head in a row.
The weird thing about Miroku on page 6 in this chapter is he has no problem basically grabbing the ass of a young kitsune boy as long as he's in adult female form. Does anyone else find that a bit disturbing? It's like, dude, Miroku, I know she looks hot, but you KNOW what she really is. And you still wanna tap that?
Oh wait, he just wanted to help the kitsunes pass their exam. Suuure. ;)
I LOVE this panel of Inuyasha knocked out by Sango's youkai-slayer stench pellets. The look on his face, and with the butterflies above his head. It's a very Looney Tunes panel to me. A visual joke that made me laugh out loud.
One of the highlights of the chapter was this panel where "Miroku" hugs Sango, only to turn into a bunch of kitsune!Mirokus hugging Sango at once. Priceless. I love that Sango was tricked too, and that she's pissed enough to swing Hiraikotsu at them.
The final battle between Shippo and Inuyasha. OMG. That was SO like Inuyasha to pull a "Do Not Pull" sign. XD I thought that was brilliantly funny. Silly hanyou. Kinda reminded me of something Ranma might do as well.
Nice performance, Shippo. Does that kitsune school hand out Oscars too? XD But awww, it is cute the way Inuyasha goes after him. (Of course he would. Inuyasha loves Shippo. :P)
And, yay, Shippo passes his test and achieves the next rank. No upgrade needed.
Overall, I'd have to say this was one of Shippo's best arcs, behind the "Stone Flower" arc and the "Kanta" arc. As far as harmless filler goes, it was infinitely better than that anime episode where he met the other foxes.
The 507 preview from Inu-Yasha.org is very intriguing. This could be a major plot we have coming up.
A person, appearing before the InuYasha group resuming the journey, is a miko who has been supposed to die once. Who is she?
Who is she indeed? Midoriko? Tsubaki? Kikyo (back again?!)? Or someone new entirely? What do you guys think? This is a really strange and surprising development.
