Ear-Tweak has the latest chapter up
here.
Once again, I'm going to react to everything here as I read it.
Ok, big pic of Koga on the cover. Could this be it for him?!
Naraku looks less Mouryoumaru-like. Thank G-d. He's got rid of those giant wings and most of that extraneous shit.
Page 4 - Bye bye baby.
Page 5 - And the title "Divine Protection" is explained. Seems the wolf spirit dudes have that divine protection thing going for them. Koga's getting one free save, apparently. Maybe he won't die this time after all. Oh wait, or did he already use up their protection once? I can't remember!
Aw, sweet, Kagome's off to save Koga. (Way to go, Inuyasha...)
Page 7 - Oh snap, it looks like Kikyo's going to stop Kagome to make sure Koga is teh ded. Talk about added tension between these two.
Page 10 - Oh check it out. Koga's legs can move again, and he has a chance to destroy Naraku's heart from the inside.
Page 14 - What the hell...? Are those the wolf spirits?
Page 15 - Koga's out...but is he safe? Is this full-page panel supposed to lure us into a false sense of security? Btw, no Inuuyasha/Koga vibes going on this issue like the previous ones. A little bit of Kagome/Koga though.
Page 17 - 17 pages in, and Inuyahsa FINALLY makes his move. He hasn't done a single thing this whole chapter. But Koga and Miroku are going after Naraku at the same time. Something big is about to happen...maybe...
Page 18 - D'oh, total cliffhanger. Of course. Miroku vs. Naraku. Should be fun next chapter.
And just for the hell of it, let's discuss tonight's anime episode, The Last Banquet of Miroku's Master, shall we?
Well, I hadn't seen this episode before, though I'd heard Mushin doesn't really die in it. It's kind of funny the mixture of both poignant and cracktastic moments this episode had. Why is Kagome so...coked out in the anime? She doesn't act like that in the manga at all. The Kagome-times-three thing was...interesting to say the least. Not to mention her odd fantasy infomercial of Miroku using his Wind Tunnel as a vaccuum cleaner. These anime writers are inventive, aren't they?
Omg, Sango hitting on Inuyasha! Geez, is that all it takes to loosen her up, a bit of intoxicating smoke, and she's all throwing herself at him? lol.
But the few serious parts of the episode, about Miroku's relationship with Mushin was truly touching. I thought the voice acting was pretty good when Miroku thought he was dead. It really was a well-done scene.
So, is that the last new episode Adult Swim is airing for a while?
