Lost 5x05
I noticed a funny coincidence between last night's Lost and my fic The Secret Key to the Meidou-Seki...
Ok, first of all, it never even occurred to me that the smoke monster on the island is of course similar to Kurokemuri the smoke monster in my fic. XD It just never entered my head when I was writing my fic, though subconsciously perhaps I was inspired by it without even realizing.
But the coincidence isn't that alone. It's that in last night's episode, the smoke monster is pulling this guy into a tunnel. His friends are holding onto his arm to keep him from going in the tunnel. But the smoke pulls so hard that the guy's arm is pulled right out of the socket and detaches from the body entirely!!
Which of course reminded me of my scene in my fic last week where Kurokemuri the smoke monster tries to pull Sesshomaru's arm off, and succeeds in dislocating it.
So I guess now I have proof that smoke monsters are indeed capable of such a thing. XD
Also, you know you watch too much Metalocalypse when you LAUGH when you see the Lost guy's arm pop off. It's like Metalocalypse has conditioned me to find anything over-the-top gory to be funny.
