Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas and babymamas on my flist. I hope you're appreciated and loved for the hardest job on Earth. :-*
This has always been THE weirdest holiday for me and even weirder for my teachers back in middle school. I think they felt bad for making me draw pretty Mother's Day cards and having me sing sappy songs for Mommy in choir (we always invited all the mommies to school and put on a show for them) but they didn't have much of a choice because I was their lead vocalist there so they just gave me these apologetic looks and said: "You can sing for your grandma, dear." It still makes me smile.
Maybe it will change when... well, actually IF I have a kid of my own some day.
