I'm so very late with this, but I can't let the opportunity pass me by.
So apprently this
Nike ad caused quite a stir.
It's offensive. It's, oh my... AGGRESSIVE.
What the hell is wrong with men roaring their desire to win? Oh, sorry. I forgot we live in the age of sensitivity training and other such delights of post-60s Enlightment. You know what? I say we neuter them completely and make them paint our toe nails for a favorite pastime. Aren't there enough metrosexuals in this world? Can't I have at least some dumb, testoterone-driven brutes left to kick a ball around and slap their backs when they sink it into a net?
And I might give a shit about supposed religious sensitivity if the same Apostles of PC weren't the ones who hailed
Piss Christ as a brilliant, daring work of art. A crucifix submerged in urine? Art. St.George's cross drawn on a football player as a symbol of his dedication to win for his country? Offensive, aggresive commercial scheme.
Well, guess what? I have no problem with the Nike ad. Except after their last game, they should change the text to: JUST DID IT. Hopefully, they'll do it again against Portugal.
