About the NYC Int'l Lolita Day Tea Party...

Oct 15, 2009 02:30

I'm sorry for the lateness of this post, school's been hectic as well as getting this together, lulz.

Anyways, I have talked to the manager of Rose House and I got a lot of things done. However, I need some feedback for those who are planning to come, before I do anything else with collecting payment.

First off, I can have a party bigger than just 30 people. ALTHOUGH, I have two options to choose from:

#1. 30 people party. Afternoon - Evening time, approximately around 2 or 3pm.

-or-

#2. 50 people party, epic enough to take over most of the space in the tea place, though this would have to be in the morning as a brunch. Approximately 10am till maybe Noon.

Either way, we will be in the area regardless, which will be perfect for a bit of shopping and looking around in some of the cute Chinese and Korean stores like Valentine's, as well as purikura, and maybe the art exhibits within Queens Crossing (I would have to see about the costs though). It won't just be tea party and then part ways.

While I don't mind waking early for the tea party and having as many people as possible to accommodate, I'm leaning towards having just the original 30 people. However if the majority doesn't mind, I'll probably go with 30 people. Which means a mad rush for payments! Ohohohoho~ But let me know either way! We can play around like it's drug money Letttt me stop playing around.

Also, the updated estimated price is down to $47 dollars including all tax, gratuity, etc.! This is subject to change

Secondly, with payment itself, it might be a little more complicated. Reason being because of Paypal's ridiculous changes to their system within the last couple of months. While Paypal would be the simplest, fastest way to receive the deposits, if they see anything they call "suspicious", they will close down an account.

Speaking that together this party will be definitely be more than a grand or two... that would be "suspicious", and I don't want to risk getting a lock on a Paypal account when I'm supposed to be handling and paying the Rose House. I'm going to call Paypal's customer service just in case, but I don't want to risk getting any sort of disruptions like that, and then waiting Lord knows how long to get it cleared up.

So, I want to know if the local people are comfortable giving money by cash. I don't want to charge anymore to people just to cover any transfer fees and deposit fees for money orders and the like, so I'd much rather get the payment by cash, and for those who are too far to pay in person to pay via Paypal, so then it would be much simpler for me to just get and give the money to where it needs to go. Some people may feel kind of iffed about this, but I have a pretty good background on the Lolita Database and people know where I live so. No risks here. xD

I'll be going to mainly all the meetups within the next 1-2 months, so you can meet with me to give the money, or if you wish to meet during the week in the afternoon, I can do that as well! Just let me know whether or not you will be willing to do this option, though I can assure you it would be the easiest way of going about it.

But please let me know!

Also, last but not least... dietary restrictions and allergies! If you have any, let me know now, so I can write it down and make sure it gets done and done. I want to avoid people taking down Benadryls, shooting themselves with Epipens and the like. So if you are allergic to anything edible, LET ME KNOW. Vegetarian or Vegan? LET ME KNOW. This is so that there won't be any delay in getting your munch on. xD

One more thing: Please remember what I've written in the previous post about the Dress Code, the Gift Exchange, and etc. Very important!

Please answer this post, PM me for any questions and concerns, and I hope to see you there!
