I'm gonna give a report on my time at NYAF.
Don't bother asking me about the experience-- I didn't go to any panels since I was mostly working at mintymix's booth the whole weekend. I will talk about the F.E.T.E.S. concert though.
So like on Thursday I didn't do much. I was out and about SoHo to 14th street and St. Mark's Place, looking for those FUCKING SNEAKERS that I wanted to get for my outfit on Saturday (which I ended up not getting on time). After a while I call up David (thislonlyflower to ask him where he was, and we ended up meeting up at Kinokuniya. We looked around at the mags, left when it was almost closing, and went to Sapporo? and ate. Had some awesome curry, omnomnom. After that I took him to the Sanrio store, where he began fapluating at the epic rhinstone deco'd Hello Kitty coin bank that costed a good $4500, as well as the Hello Kitty x h.Naoto stuff. After that we walked to the hotel he was staying at, and I hung out with moussechocolat and dear_mo and other peeps until like 1 in the morning. I didn't get home till 3am, lulz. But in the meantime I continued to shit-talk and rant about whatever little bitchy thing I was doing it at lololo
Friday I woke up late for school and just ended up getting ready for NYAF. I FINALLY GOT TOGETHER A FUCKING OUTFIT FOR MY DINOSAUR SKIRT XD Though I don't like just having black top x black cardigan thing but it's whatever. Eventually my closet will grow I guess. I still thought it looked cute, and I wore my pointed OTK boots with it. Mmmmmm hawt.
Met up with Amy at 34th, we rode the bus together down there and we went in. I went to go see the BABY booth and the Tokyo Rebel booth, looked at Claire (queen_of_dorks)'s booth, and then went to Kelsey's and Melissa's booth and the cunt who likes to copy Claire's stuff. Her shit was pretty bland, I'm glad Claire pimped out her shit quality-wise because it looked so much nicer.
After that I was pretty much sitting at Kammie's booth the whole time, indulging in it's ultimate cuteness and candy cotton smell and shit and ugh. So cute. So fucking cute and I was totally sitting in that for the whole day. Kammie's boyfriend was there and he was so not amused by the con lulz. But yeah, I did that for the whole day. After that we -were- gonna eat out, but people were going home/already getting takeout so me and David went back to their hotel and ordered some nomnomnom Papa John's xD And watched Project Runway and shit and then I went home later.
On the way home on the train, I was really defensive because there was just mad bummy drunk people in the trains I was getting into and I was really not in the mood and was ready to cut a bitch, basically. Some little white girls came up to me and said my outfit was nice, I said thanks, and then they went off to swing on poles and play handgames and whatnot.
So Saturday I decided to dress up deco with Kammie and I wore redxpink. It was pretty cute although pre-2006 = cutting off the circulation in my intestines and shit but that's okkkk. Met up with vapor_saturnine and went to the con. We stalked the floor for Kokusyoku Sumire but they had already left for their hotel. After that I pretty much did the same stuff as Friday. Afterwards we went to Starlight Diner to celebrate Aisha's birthday-- ate a 9 ounce burger and fries and shit, ate that shit in like 5 minutes flat and it was soooo good but soooo clogging and ugh. Heart attack by 24, much? I couldn't finish the lemon meringue pie and I felt like shit because I wasted it. Should've had it to go.
Instead of going karaoke but I ended up going home instead. I was getting broke from eating alone and I was feeling mad fat and tired xD
Wore my Marie Antoinette jsk in a hime outfit. I had to wear a showercap outside because the air was just muggy and just terrible and it would've fucked up my hair. So yeah, Cat came to my house and we went to the con again. Rinse and repeat, looked around, worked at Kammie's booth and etc., etc. I stopped by umm.... I forgot her name but she was the BABY translator girl and we were talking about the dramu last year, and she was also looking for opinions of the BABY booth for BABY to look at.
Around 4ish we ended up going to the F.E.T.E.S. concert as a loli group and yeah. I was in a bit of a bad mood because of the weather and I was feeling my scalp sweating and I knew my hair was getting jacked up. Then when we got to Webster Hall, fucking doorman didn't give me time to fucking speak and shit and I was so ready to bark at him. Like seriously, give a bitch 5 seconds to at least give an answer.
Overall, the concert was pretty good. I was listening to Gelatin which was totally new for me. I was really into their music and I headbanged myself to hell and back, to the point where now 2 days later my neck still hurts, probably from possible whiplash. Like seriously, I banged so hard that I felt my brain shift in my skull. It was pretty painful.
Echostream was pretty awesome too, but more relaxing to me I think. I just chilled in the corner afterwards with Cat and people and we were loling at the weeaboos who were fapping and losing their V over the ~hot asian~ guitarist. You know they definitely went to get their CD. Good work, Tomo.
Swinging Popscicle was whack as shit. Seriously, I was waiting for them to get off. What a stupid band. FOB bands ftl
Then Kokusyoku Sumire came on last and they were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo adorable. Oh my god I'm still fapping over the cuteness and wishing they lived in fucking America because they were JUST THAT CUTE. I felt like a kid again and I was just so estatic. Of course half the time it was ruined by ghetto weeaboos.
Like seriously, why talk over yourselves about Naruto? And because K.S. were just a two person band with not-so-loud music, their voices were going over their music half the time and Cat had to go over there like 3 times, AND go to the show manager to get them to shut the fuck up for like 5 minutes. Dickheads.
Anyways, the best moment was the "Yes we can!" thing that they did in the middle, it was so adorable. I hope someone recorded it ; w; cuuuuute
After the concert we bought posters (I so wanted their CD but I didn't have 30 bucks at the time) and got them signed! Took pictures and group shots with the girls. Had Yuka like, choke-hug me and I wanted to die of cuteness ; w; It was hard talking to them because I didn't know if they'd understand me~ thanks to Midori they did, though. Cat asked them about them shopping on Monday and we wanted to totally go with them but we probably couldn't anyways. I also recommended them (with Mido's help) that they go to Alice's Tea Cup. I hope they did!!! It would totally would've been their home if they wanted to make it xD Yuka's English was pretty decent, but it was still hard. Sachi was just.. "Shopping? Yes, hai! :DDD" because she understood maybe 1 or 2 words but it was still adorable xD Yuka was joking on her during the show and asked her if she was using index cards or paper to say her english xD

- BABY's booth was pretty good, though half the dresses were LP dresses but I still liked it. Couldn't buy anything though.
