so I had two polar opposite experiences today- one that jolted me into the college swing of things and one that shoved me down into highschool land again.   We'll start with the funny one.  Today in Bio I got to class and someone asked me a question about the study questions that were due today and i was like... what?  aren't those due Friday?  i went into shock for a moment and then realized that I had in fact done them (somewhat sloppily) but hadn't printed them off yet.  So I discretely left class to go to the "bathroom" and then sprinted across campus to my dorm up the 7 flights of stairs and then waited for 5 minutes for my computer to decide to cooperate, printed them off and sprinted the rest of the way reaching class where I attempted to control my breathing and wipe the dripping sweat from my face as discretely as a could and managed to shape up my answers enough that I was satisfied to turn them in at the end of class.  So that was kind of exciting and helped me realize that I'm now officially in college and need a better system of keeping track of my work!

en about 20 minutes ago, I received a lecture from a dear friend of mine about how I should never bike at night.  I don't mind so much that she brought it up because it's a good thing to keep in mind and when she first said so I considered that maybe I was a little too liberal with my biking at night but then she kept going on and on about it and it made me pretty annoyed and then later more upset that she was so emphatic about it to the point that she didn't seem to consider the fact that I am an able bodied college student and am completely capable of making my own decisions.  i was pretty excited to move away from my parents and be able to make my own decisions.  I just feel really insulted and annoyed that she didn't take what i was saying into consideration at all.
